- When we board the boat, we ask the Captain to show us around at the first opportunity, so that we know where the lifejackets and firefighting equipment are located.
- We acknowledge that from the moment we board the boat, we are a member of its crew, even if we are simply passengers, fully aware that we have to listen and adhere to the instructions and orders of the Captain.
- We never put our hands in between boats when we moor in the harbour or when they hit each other for any reason. There are suitable balloons that protect the boats from any damage when there is a ripple in the port or on any other part of the trip.
- We never grab the anchor chain with bare hands. If we are asked by the Captain to help, we must first protect our hands with the appropriate gloves.
- We take care of the environment. We do NOT throw anything in the sea. The Captain has certainly arranged for the proper collection of waste.
- We do NOT smoke indoors and of course if we are in the process of refuelling as a crew, it is self-evident that we do not make the slightest use of fire.
- We are really careful, when entering or exiting the boat, of the boarding ladder that allows us to get out or get on the boat. If there is a wave or we feel the slightest doubt that we cannot make it, we ask for help.
- We never return drunk to the boat. It is certain that we will not be able to cross the ladder and we will either fall at sea or we will get injured.
- We never get stuck or sit on the ropes when the boat is in the process of mooring. A rope can be suddenly used and we will get injured.
- We are very careful in the kitchen of the boat and in case we have to cook, we never leave the fire on to go for a swim or go out on the deck for any reason. We turn on the kitchen, prepare the meal and turn it off, always remaining in the kitchen area, especially if the above operate on gas.
- We don’t mingle with switches or anything else we don’t know how to use.
- When the boat is traveling, especially at high speed, we do not walk on decks. The same happens if, for some reason, the boat travels at night – walking on decks is prohibited.
- We always ask for a personal life jacket when we use the boat’s inflatable aids/games.
- When using games such as jet ski, SUP etc. we look out for swimmers as well as the various other anchored boats in the wider area or any mooring ropes.
- We do not dive from the boat into the sea unless we know for a fact that the sea depth is adequate, so that we do not hit the seafloor and get injured.
